🌿 Prepare Your Skin for a Fresh Start (For Beginners)

If you are trying CSA products for the first time, it can be very helpful to begin with a short preparation period.

We recommend applying no products to your skin for 3 days before starting and, if possible, avoiding makeup during this time.

This short cleansing period:

  • 💧 Reduces the effects of residues that previously used products may have left on your skin.
  • ⚖️ Prevents unnecessary reactions caused by mixing them with new products.
  • ✨ Most of all, it allows CSA ingredients to truly work in harmony with your skin.

This step is not intended to worry you; it is a starting point we lovingly recommend to help you get the most from the products.

Remember, skin is like a friend: it wants to get to know something before becoming familiar with it.

🌿 Introducing Products into Your Routine Gradually

When using CSA products, we recommend introducing them to your skin step by step instead of adding everything at once. In particular, customers using a set should take an average of 8–10 days to introduce the entire set into their routine.

This approach:

  • 🌿 Allows the skin to accept each product calmly and comfortably.
  • ⚖️ Helps prevent potential sensitivities.
  • ✨ Helps you observe more clearly how each product works on your skin.

🔁 How should you proceed?

  • 🧼 Day 1: Start with cleansing and moisturising only.
  • 👁️ Days 1–2: Continue the same routine and observe your skin's response.
  • ➕ Day 3: If there are no adverse effects, add one new product to the routine.
  • 📅 The following days: Introduce just one product at a time, every other day.

✨ By following this approach:

  • 🤍 Your skin gets used to each product individually.
  • 🔍 If a reaction occurs, it is easier to identify which product caused it.
  • 🌿 You create a safe, balanced and enjoyable routine together with your skin.

This approach applies to everyone trying CSA products for the first time, whether you use the full set or start with just two or three products. Follow the morning/evening routine guidance as you gradually add products.

⚠️ Things to Keep in Mind

🌿 CSA products are formulated with botanical and natural ingredients. For this reason:

🚫 If your skin shows any reaction (redness, itching, flaking, etc.) despite following the instructions, please stop using the product and contact us.

⏳ Every skin is different; the temporary adjustment period can last 2–3 weeks for some skin types. ✨ This is natural.

🔄 Using Products from Other Brands

⚖️ CSA products work together as a balanced whole. When used alongside products from other brands, the ingredients may not be compatible and unwanted reactions may occur.

👉 For this reason:

  • 🧴 We recommend removing other brands' products from your routine while using CSA products,
  • 🤍 And making room only for CSA products, at least during the adjustment period.

🌸 This recommendation is not a requirement, but gentle guidance prepared for your benefit.

Retinol Use and Building Tolerance

Retinol is a powerful skin-renewing ingredient that requires an adjustment period. You can follow the instructions below to help your skin adapt to retinol:

Retinol Schedule for Beginners:

  • Week 1: 1 day per week
  • Week 2: 2 days per week
  • You can build up to 6–7 days by adding one day each week.
  • Once you are accustomed to retinol, you can use it every day of the week.
  • If you will be spending time in the sun during the summer, you can reduce how often you use retinol. Rather than stopping, you can continue using it, always together with sunscreen.
  • Full adjustment to retinol takes approximately 2.5–3 months.

The Retinol Sandwich Technique (To Reduce Skin Sensitivity)

For those who would like a gentler start:

  • You can help your skin adjust to retinol by applying B5 Serum → Retinol → Moisturiser in that order.

This approach makes the retinol adjustment period more comfortable.

Retinol is a true rescue ingredient for the skin!

It evens skin tone, reduces the appearance of pores, balances oiliness, strengthens the skin barrier and fights signs of ageing. Once your skin adjusts to retinol, it will begin a remarkable transformation. It may show sensitivity at first, but with patience and consistent use, you can achieve healthy, resilient and balanced skin.

What Should You Do If Retinol Causes Irritation?

Because retinol accelerates the skin's renewal process, temporary reactions such as redness, dryness and flaking may occur. However, because it is formulated using a special technique, this irritation may be minimised or prevented entirely.

  • If you experience mild irritation:
  • Take a break from retinol for a few days and allow your skin to recover.
  • Resume use when the irritation subsides.
  • If irritation or peeling occurs around the mouth or eyes:
  • Keep retinol away from these areas.
  • You can continue at a reduced frequency.
  • If irritation recurs 2–3 times, this is a normal part of the adjustment process. However, if irritation becomes severe or persists, please contact us and pause retinol use.
